Step1: Pour and tint Acrylic
Preview

You may be able to find acrylic sheets in the colors you want for this project, but if not, they are easy to tint with poured resin. I had a few rectangle molds and I poured them and let them cure.

Step2: Cut and Engrave Acrylic

Use the attached .xcs file as a guide. Change the text as needed. I found it's best to engrave as shallow as you can to get the inked color to really pop without getting bubbles in the text.

Step3: Sand and Sand some more

Cutting the acrylic with the laser carver gave the hearts a sticky brown coating of burnt resin on them. I spent a lot of time sanding this to make them look better.

Step4: Ink the messages

A simple acrylic paint works for this step. Rub or brush the paint into the engraved messages and wipe off or let dry and sand off to reveal the message.

Step5: Attach posts or Cut bead holes

Use UV cured resin to attach earring posts to the back of the earrings. For the bracelet beads I used a binder clip to hold the hearts up and cut a 1.25mm hole all the way through the heart. Then sand the burnt resin off.
