This are engraved glasses as gift present to the teacher of my brother. My brother leaving a speal basic school and go to middle school. The engraving are based on school theme, the time on school as some personnel greatings and thanks to the teachers. Text of the glasses are in Dutch; 1) Ik begon bij je, en nu eindig ik bij je. (I started with you, and now I end with you) 2) Ik ga naar een nieuwe school. (I'm going to a new school.) 3) Het was een fijn jaar. (It was a nice year) 4) Je liet me stappen zetten. (You made me take steps)
Preparation is the basis of good glass engraving. If the base is not good, the glass will break and crack during the engraving process.
If the surface of the tissue is not smooth on the glass or has a lot of air bubbles, you will see that the engraving at those points will differ from the other engraving locations. Or worse, that the glass will crack during the engraving.
clamp the glass in the Rotory with the open side of the glass on the motor side. Do not clamp the Rotory too hard, as the glass may break.
On the back, place the clamp (see photo 2)
Make sure the rottory is aligned so that the red dot for the distance measurement is at the highest point of the long drink glass.
If everything is ok?
-→ Watch out! electrical parts of the Rottory, can NOT withstand water. So only moisten the tissue and not electrical parts or the head of the laser.
If you are going to engrave the “(1) around the globe” or "(2) the arrow engreving", with the text
1) I started with you, and now I end with you.
and
2) I'm going to a new school.
(I'm going to a new school.)
Then pause halfway through the engraving process and moisten the tissue again. After that, you can activate the process again.
(Because of mutch engraing on a smal place, the water in the tisue can be evaporate. You need to top this up to prevent cracks)
Make sure that you leave the rotary and the glass in the same position, and do not touch or move the rottery or glass!
Your glasses are ready. Have fun with the execution
