Kinda like 3D of a mounted trophy on the wall of the big buck. made from birch and is placed to give a 3D effect.
Step 1) This design and project starts with a image of a deer from the shapes list. This Deer is then outlined using that feature. It is set to a larger offset so the entire deer has a good thick border. Once this is done the outline just created is moved away from the deer. In order to create the 3D effect of the mounted deer we need to split the deer in half. This can be done more than 1 way but I will show 1 way. Create a rectangle from the insert button, make it large enough to cover half of the deer. place it on the halfway mark. Copy and paste a second rectangle and match it on the other side. Copy and paste all of the deer and the 2 rectangles to create a second copy.
Step 2) Now that there are 2 equal rectangles covering the 2 deer highlight the top deer and the right side rectangle, go to combine and select subtract. this will remove the right side of the deer. now repeat this step but with the left side of the second deer and it will remove the left side of the deer. You will end up with 2 halves of the same deer. Once you have these 2 parts of the deer the rectangles can be deleted as they are no longer needed.
Step 3) Now that we have an outline and 2 halves of the deer the settings are adjusted to cut from the birch wood. Once this is complete the 2 pieces of the deer that meet need to be sanded to a 45°. This can be done by hand or with an electric sander. The 2 parts of the deer can now have the coloring treatment of the brown marker to give it more of a real look. Once the deer has been colored the 2 halves of the deer are glued to the back ground on the angle that was sanded (45°) was created earlier.
