Step 1) With this project exact images are needed for the hand symbols so a   SVG of the hands is used to create this viewing board. I first start with all the hand gestures and added the corresponding letter to each one. I used the text editor to pick a font and set the size of the first letter. Once this was in place I copied and pasted the letter. I did this until all the letters were edited and placed.

Step2: Design Stage 2

Step 2) With this step all of the letters are in place and it was time to adjust the entire image to engrave. I highlighted all of the image and used the combine feature. I selected subtract at over lap so when the image was set to engrave it not only adjusted it to be engraved but it also became one path so the engraving was done all at once.

Step3: Outline Added

Step 3) Now for this step an outline is needed, this will also be the cut line. I used the outline feature and set the offset to 1. Once this was on the work area, I move the inner portion and added a Oval by selecting the insert button. This allows to create an oval the shape you like. I created the oval to be placed along the top of the rest of the image. I used the combine feature and united the 2 pieces together creating a larger outline.

Step4: Adding a Name

Step 4) Again with the text editor I added the name, once the font was chosen I used the curving text feature and adjusted the text to follow the curve of the oval. Once I set the text in place it was time to adjust the settings.

Step 5) With this step once the machine had finished, the magnets were applied on the back. These magnets are peel and stick so it was just a matter of placing one near the top middle and the bottom middle. Once this was done it was time to display the board. With having this sign language board visible it will help educate people for learning the hand signs needed to communicate with your hands.
