Fully functional equatorial sundial for all latitudes from 46° to 61° north and south. Easily switch between daylight saving time and winter time by turning the bezel. Easy assembly with or without gluing. Easy alignment via a mobile phone compass.
Thank you for your interest and downloading my file. We'll start with cutting and engraving.
We take part A1 and place the fixing ring in the center.
Depending on your preference, we apply glue to the ring and fix the time circle B1 precisely so that the 24th hour is at the top.
After the drying time, we turn all parts over and fix the time circle B2 exactly in the center with the fixing ring. The 24th hour is again at the top.
The time rod D1, together with the inner ring from B1, is pushed through the clock from the back.
Make sure that the crescent of the rod is inserted horizontally. Please as in picture 3. Unfortunately picture no. 2 was taken incorrectly.
The locking ring D2 is now pushed into the recess of the time rod from the other side. The opening is either at 6:00 PM or 6:00 AM.
Now we turn our attention to the base plate. Please add a hinge, preferably on the left side, and glue both parts together.
Take the sundial and glue parts C3 to the small rods on the right and left.
Then push the small glued rings first into the left hinge, then into the right hinge, and only then glue this to the base plate.
Glue C3 to C4, making sure to maintain the direction shown in Figure 3.
Push part E into the front recess of the clock. This is used to switch between summer and winter time.
Done! Now align the clock to the north. Use the small printed compass to orient yourself. Now use the slider on the back of the clock to set the latitude for your location.
