This is a stacking egg container that can be used with fresh/unwashed eggs to keep them on the counter. The wood used is finish grade with thicker sides, but the file could be adapted to the appropriate size for your needs. I have included two files: 1. The original one shown in the image. 2. A smaller format one that uses less material and uses less counter space.
Cut out sides from the ½" Oak. I find it best to offset the depth by 5mm for the best cut.
Cut the flat/long piece for the eggs to sit in using the ¼" Oak.
Assembly can be as simple as gluing the sides and the flat together with wood glue. You may also use a small brad nailer as well, but this is not preferred as the wood may crack.
