Thank you gadgetsbeyondthisworld for the inspiration! --- This was one of my first projects and I was experimenting with different wood species. When I engraved this on oak it kind of created a melted glaze (see additional photo prior to a light surface sanding) that was really neat but needed to be sanded off to give clarity to the graphics and lettering.
