This is coming sooner than we think, the weather has been nicer and nicer around here. Today we look at the circle array feature for this project.
Step 1) For this project it will start out with an SVG image of a flower. This flower will go around in a circle with the use of the circle array feature. With the circle array selected there are several options to make your circle just the way you want. In this case I selected options to have it repeat itself in the circular shape.
Step 2) Now that the flower image from earlier has been positioned in a circular shape wording was added with the text editor. The font has been chosen from the right option list and the words are positioned within the circle. This all will be engraved on the metal square that has been painted red prior to starting this project so it had ample time to dry properly.
Step 3) Once all the settings were adjusted the metal square is placed inside the S1 20w machine. For proper alignment the 2 point position system is used by creating a square the same size as the metal item. This will ensure proper alignment for the engraving. Once the engraving is cooomplete a simple cleaning is needed to the surface, this is done with your favorite cleaner I happen to use LA Awesome which seems to work great. Then a small piece of a flexible magnet is glued on the back of the metal square for displaying on metal objects.
