A double sided laser etched picture on Sea Glass Frosted Acrylic with matte finish on the other side. A customer liked the saying and wanted to give it to her son. She asked if I could make it like the original she had seen on another web site, but with a hunting scene.
You can either use the full sheet of acrylic like a single jig for the picture after you make the first cut, or make sure you have markers down to be able to place the picture back in the exact place you had it before. I used the acrylic sheet and it was super easy to flip the picture and hold it in place for the back side engraving.
For the depth on this picture to be achieved, you will engrave the picture mirrored image on the shiny side of the acrylic. When you hold the acrylic up to the light, the non-engraved side will be facing you and the picture will appear fuzzy looking. Then you will turn your picture over, with the frosted side facing up, place it back into the acrylic sheet or your jig, and engrave the wording. DO NOT MIRROR THE WORDING!
Hold your finished piece up to the light. You should be able to see the depth created by the shading of the picture through the frosting and the clearness of the wording.
