Mother & child key chain, bookmark or pendant
Instruction
Providing different options for people to match use with their mom's or partner's needs. A heart shaped image of a mother and child on one side and mom on the other. Put in a tassle to make a bookmark; some hardware (I used a double hook for key chain; or loop a chain for a necklace.
I used basswood and the settings work well.
Place your material on the baseplate.
Get the depth - ruler icon top right. Next set the processing area - golf flag icon.
Check the framing (bottom right) to make sure it is positioned well.
Process!
Take the cutout and place on the baseplate. place the crross hairs on the heart. Place th heart point side down (see the “ignore heart” to help with placement)
Check the depth - ruler icon
Use the polygon shape to map out the heart. Move the text in the best position for engraving.
Check the framing and process.
Get a tassle for a bookmark - have fun!
If making a keychain - you pick the hardware you have on hand.
If making a necklace recommend adding a metal loop so that the heart can lay correctly and not twist the chain.
