Ensure that you download the file to your xtool Laser. It is currently set to  12" high and 13" inches wide. This file is adjustable. You can adjust this file to your desired size. Also you can use 1/8 inch Birch or Bass wood. 

I used ¼ inch thick MDF as this gave me a better consistency from warping.  

• Note: When using the S1 40 watt, it will not frame 12 inch item properly as the item will be in the gray area. Insure that you have your Material not on the outside of the bottom portion of your screen. Use your crosshair to line up your Material. I have found that is the best way I can assure that I am cutting out sign properly. You can always size this down to allow you to frame.  

1. Once you open the file you will see that there are two canvases. 
2. Choose your Material 1/8 inch plywood or MDF or ¼ inch MDF
3. If you are using 1/8 inch material your times will be faster. I have found that my machine will cut 1/8 inch at 65% power and 8% speed times 2 using 1/8 inch Material. 
4. Start off with the Base layer Once you have completed the base layer which about 10 minutes at 65% power and 5% speed times 2 using ¼ inch MDF  This assures me the cut is all the way through. 
5. Cutting the Shape is about 5 minutes at 65% power and 5% speed times 2 using ¼ inch MDF  This assures me the cut is all the way through.
