After visiting Scotland, my wife fell in love with the Highland Coo. She thinks they are "cute and Adorable". What better gift for her than a Highland Coo wall decor. She's placed it above the fireplace.
Find a free graphic that you can use. Using your favorite editor (Adobe Illustrator, Inkscape, Corel Draw, etc.) edit the image to size, detail, and to create the various layers. I've been using Corel Draw for years and am most comfortable with it.
When ready, simply cut out the various layers. This wall decor uses 4 layers.
You can either paint or stain your various layers. I decided to stain two layers, just clearcoat the back layer, and paint one of the layers.
Once dry, use your favorite wood glue to attach the various layers. This wall decor doesn't have any intricate cuts, so gluing it together was simple and quick.
