Living far away from family can be tough. I made this sign for my mother in law, who lives in another state, with all her kids and grand babies. She absolutely loved it. Things I would do differently: - More contrast: I would either paint the background or paint the border a more contrasting color. -Color fill the engravings on the states. Also for more contrast.

The background has engraving to allow for easy alignment during assembly. I chose to leave the footprints as an engraving on the back board but you could easily glue the feet here just like the rest of the cutouts from step 2.
There are multiple approaches you could take for this step. i'll provide two options to make it easier on you.
Option ONE (easiest): *you need aluminum foil tape

Laser it. Small pieces will fall though honeycomb panel and you will have to glue each piece on individually during assembly.
