Rose for mother's day

This is a rose I created as a gift for my mother. It's made of two parts: 6 mm basswood and 3 mm basswood, glued together.
The part below is painted with red and green vinyl paint.
In the heart it's possible yo write a quote as I did in mine in figure 2.
Instruction
Step1: CUTTING
Two separate cuttings are needed: one for 3 mm basswood and one for 6 mm basswood.
I decided to did these 2 different cut because I want the upper part to be thicker, for a big contrast with the part below. If you do not have 6 mm basswood or you prefer to save some money and time, you can use just the 3 mm and the result will be good as well.
Step2: ENGRAVING
If you want, you can write something in the heart. I wrote something in italian for my mother. If you decide to write a quote, you could cut and engrave in the same process.
Step3: PAINTING

I painted the flower part with red, and then I mixed green with a bit of white and painted the leafs.
I discovered that painting my own xTool creations is very relaxing, and I think I'm going to upload many others painted creations in future.
Step4: GLUEING
