Here is a good way to give a treat to that special person at school or at work. These are made from wood and have a kiss Treat built right in. There is a place to say who it is to and who it is from.
Step 1) Here are the items needed:
-Red ribbon this ribbon happens to be ¼" wide a smaller ribbon can be used if ¼" ribbon is not available.
-Red marker this marker is used to paint the heart so any red marker will do.
-Chocolate treats that are individually wrapped Hershey Kisses works perfect.
-1/8" basswood the amount depends on how many of these Valentine's Cards you want to make.
Step 2) With this project a Mason jar shaped SVG is brought into the work area, you will want an SVG as it will need to be set to score. Once in the work area it is sized to make the Valentine's card an appropriate size for giving. I used a set of calipers to measure the chocolate treat base so it has a snug fit, once this was determined a circle was created and sized to the exact size. This was placed in the middle of the SVG and was set to cut to create a hole.
Step 3) In this step text was added to tell everyone who it was from. This can be filled out with a pencil or a pen when ready to be given. Along with who it was from also text was added to say who it is for as well.
Step 4) In this step a heart was added to fit around the hole the treat will fit in. This heart is also scored so it can be painted red with the marker or as an option left bare. The Heart is an image from the shapes list and is resized to fit properly. Happy Valentine's Day message is also added by using the text editor. a slight curve was added with the curving tool to fit the design. All fonts and sizes are adjusted within the Text editor on the right.
Step 5) Now it is time to add a border to the project, this not only acts as a border but also makes for the cut out line for each Valentine's card. This is done with the outline feature and a value of 2 is set. Once this is complete this outline is set to cut.
Step 6) Once the laser has finished all the scoring and cutting the Valentine's Card is ready to be completed. This is done with the red marker, if the option is to have the heart red then it is time to do so. The red ribbon is simply wrapped around the lid of the mason jar and is tide with a small amount of extra ribbon that can be curled for appearance. Then the magic happens when you fit the chocolate treat within the hole, because the measurement was precisely measured earlier the chocolate treat fits like a glove and is ready to be given to that special person.
