A slice of solid teak bought online for 14€ sanded with very, very fine sandpaper.

I drew an "orange" circle (low laser power at 1% and fast speed at 160 so as not to mark the wood) to be able to locate the image of the moose and put it to the right scale, and to facilitate its positioning on the circular wooden board.
There are 2 images to engrave: one on the front and one on the back.
The images will have been cleaned up with the Xtool image editor, using the magic wand and eraser.

J'ai dessiné un cercle “orange” (faible puissance laser à 1% et vitesse rapide à 160 pour ne pas marquer le bois) pour pouvoir localiser l'image de l'élan et le mettre à la bonne échelle et pour pouvoir faciliter son positionnement sur la planche de bois circulaire.
Il y a 2 images à graver : une sur le recto et une sur le verso.
Les images auront été nettoyées avec l'éditeur d'image du logiciel Xtool à l'aide de la baguette magique et de la gomme.
Once the engraving is complete, brush the woodcut with a dry toothbrush to remove any ash left over from burning the wood.
Then coat with beeswax.
Drill a small hole on the edge of the wood to screw in an eye screw if you want to hang the teak log on the wall as a wall decoration, or use it on a table as a trivet or to place a bottle of wine so as not to stain the tablecloth.

Une fois la gravure terminée, il faut brosser la gravure sur bois avec une brosse à dent, sèche, pour éliminer les cendres suite à brulure du bois.
Ensuite enduire avec de la cire d'abeille.
Percer un petit trou sur la tranche du bois pour y visser une vis à œil si vous voulez accrocher au mur le rondin de teck comme décoration murale, sinon vous pouvez l'utiliser sur une table comme dessous de plat ou pour y poser une bouteille de vin pour ne pas tacher la nappe.
