Pretty straightforward - I engraved this on a drinking glass - if you're going to use glass, ALWAYS do a test grid on a throwaway glass - there's so many factors to take into account!  Black paint works well as a thermal interface, but too slow or too much power and PING! Your glass cracks or SHATTERS.
