Step1: Connect the machine, place the material

  • Open and connect the welding machine to the cutting platform, then plug on, turn on the gas(air compressor or nitrogen cylinder over 174 PSI/1.2 MPa or set the xTool air compressor with dryer at the highest pressure of 145 PSI/1.0MPa while xcs will show 0.5-0.7MPa when processing when using telescopic cutting nozzle).
  • Place a 24''x 24''(610 x 610 mm) sheet on the cutting platform and secure it with the blade and clamps.

  • Turn on the machine, open xTool Creative Space on the computer, drag in the required xcs file, and adjust the parameters.

Parameters for 1/5'' (5mm) Stainless Steel:

  • Refer to the built-in settings in Easyset Library of XCS of 5mm Carbon Steel
Use the right nozzle and gas: ordinary nozzle + 174 PSI/1.2MPa pressure or Telescopic nozzle + 87 PSI/0.6MPa
  • Defocus Distance
For ordinary nozzle: -12
For telescopic nozzle: -9/-10

Step3: Calibrate the capacitive sensor

Click the start calibration button and then click on the center area of the material image to perform calibration.

Step4: Framing and Processing

Click the "Framing" to confirm that it is within the processing range. If there are no issues, close the lid, click "Process" and press the "Start" button of the cutting platform.

  • Switch to the nitrogen cylinder and set the pressure to 14.5-29 PSI(0.1-0.2 MPa).
  • Disconnect the wiring between the welding machine and the cutting platform
  • Remove the capacitor head from the welding gun and install the welding nozzle.
  • Install the welding wire and connect the workpiece sensing cable onto the metal part that needs to be welded to complete the circuit.

  • Choose the material 1/5'' (5mm) Stainless Steel to apply the built-in welding parameters, and proceed with welding (Must enable wiring and lasering)
  • Pause welding at key points first and then use continuous welding for stronger connection

Step7: Must-know Suggestions

  • Before cutting, you must correct the red light and confirm the zero-focus position or it will cause bad cutting effects.
  • For 5mm-Stainless Steel cutting, you must set the lead-in lines and enable the soft-start for best cutting results.
  • Please choose the correct cutting nozzle and gas pressure: Ordinary nozzle requires pressure over 174 PSI/1.2 MPa of Nitrogen or compressed air. If the air pressure is only about 87 PSI/0.6MPa, must use the telescopic cutting nozzle.
  • It is recommended to conduct a small-scale test before cutting and welding to confirm the results before proceeding with further processing.
