Allows you to cut out pieces for a simple wallet. Sew the pockets on the inner liner on the inside edge first. Sew the outer onto the inner liner one end at a time capturing the outside edge and bottom of card pockets leaving 1/2 - 3/4" gap in the middle.
One of the main reasons I bought a laser was to help with consistency in cutting out patterns away from paper and acrylic. Short of a clicker die, this gives me the accuracy and speed to make goods in a very consistent pattern.
This was cut using S1 40W
You'll have to adjust your settings based on your leather thickness and dying method. I landed on 70 Pwer, 36 speed.
Since I was not sure if I was going to hand sew or machine, I didnt add the holes. That would be helpful if you're going to hand sew. If you DO modify these to hand sew with holes or slots, I would appreciate getting those files.
As in the photo, line up the “V” shaped pockets, stacked on top of one another with the full pocket on bottom (Layer should be from working surface up - V pocket, V pocket, Full pocket). Align them so the “ears” of the “V” pockets lay flush against the top edge of the pocket on top of it. Using glue or double sided tape will help to hold them in place. Align the outside “ear” with the outer edge of the inside liner and set in place. Sew the inside edges down to the inner liner. They should be approximately ¾" apart from side to side.
Now sew the inner liner assembly to the outer liner one side at a time. Sew from the top of the pockets down the outer edge and then along the bottom of the pocket and stop. Then do the same for the other side. This allows for a gap so the wallet folds easily and for long bills to fit between the inner and outer liners and holds probably 12 cards (2 per pocket)
