  1. Connect the CNC cutting platform and laser welder
Open and connect the welding machine to the cutting platform, then plug on, turn on the gas(nitrogen cylinder of 174 PSI/1.2 MPa shown in XCS or set the xTool air compressor with dryer at the highest pressure of 145 PSI/1.0MPa while xcs will show 0.5-0.7MPa when processing).
  2. Place the material
Place a 24''x 24''(610 x 610 mm) sheet on the cutting platform and secure it with the blade and clamps.
2

Step2: Insert the XCS file

Turn on the machine, open xTool Creative Space on the computer, drag in the required xcs file, and adjust the parameters.
3

Step3: Calibrate the capacitive sensor

Step4: Framing and Processing

  • Click the "Framing" to confirm that it is within the processing range. If there are no issues, close the lid, click "Process" and press the "Start" button of the cutting platform.
  • Follow the steps above to replace the material and cut out all the patterns

  1. Adjust the gas pressure
Reduce the pressure of the nitrogen cylinder to 14.5-29 PSI(0.1-0.2 MPa). (If you used a compressor and dryer, disconnect from the welding machine and connect the nitrogen cylinder.)
  2. Cable connection for welding
Disconnect the wiring between the welding machine and the cutting platform.
  3. Assemble the welding head and wire cable
Remove the capacitor head from the welding gun and install the welding nozzle.
  4. Connect the workpiece sensing cable
Install the welding wire and Connect the workpiece sensing cable onto the metal part that needs to be welded to complete the circuit.
6

Step6: Assembly and Welding

  • Use masking tape to assemble the main unit for easier welding
  • Choose the material 1/12'' (2mm) Stainless Steel to apply the built-in welding parameters, and proceed with welding (Must enable wiring and lasering)
  • Pause welding at key points first and then use continuous welding for stronger connection
7

Step7: Must-know Suggestions

  • When cutting, select the correct combination of cutting nozzle and gas: use an ordinary nozzle with a nitrogen cylinder or a large compressor (pressure must reach 174 PSI/1.2 MPa shown in XCS software); use a telescopic nozzle with xTool air compressor and dryer, setting the gas pressure to a maximum of 145 PSI/1.0 MPa for optimal cutting performance.
  • The welding machine cannot be connected to the cutting platform and wire feeder simultaneously; you need to switch device connections and adjust the gas pressure.
  • It is recommended to conduct a small-scale test before cutting and welding to confirm the results before proceeding with further processing.
  • It is advisable to first use spot welding to secure key points, and then proceed with continuous welding.
