design is based of hardy plank shingles. We were doing some yard clean up and discovered Mason Bees like the 1/4 x 1/4 in. slots in the hardy shingles, so I mimic the design. made out of 1 16x16 in piece of 1/4 inch material (6.35mm) and 1 piece of 1/4 in material (3mm) also 16x16inchs I tired to fix the file more but I am not good enough at creative space to get the corners equal. so i uploaded a labelled version with "up" being the side that faces up and "top" and "bottom" because there is a thin side because the distance of the pegs are not equal from the edges
1. decide which material youd like to cut first. I processes my 3mm at 5mm/s 100% and my 6.35mm at 100% and 6mm/s with 4 passes (it was really old hard wood people on reddit say it should only take 2 passes)
2. cut the materials. the slatted board is 6.35mm and the peices that sandwich them are 3mm or 1/8 which ever is easy to obtain. but the slat board must be 6.35mm
3. using 2 slats start sandwiching the boards making 1/4 in holes or slots for the bees with the bolt in the middle, the bolt can be a eye bolt for hanging but the slats cut out and put in the corners work as legs for the bee condos
place some where dry ish and try to face so the wind isnt blowing into the bees homes an that it.
