This file will help you create a leather keychain clip that will secure on your belt. You will need some 4-5 oz (2mm-2.5mm thick) veg-tan leather, sam brown stud, 1" trigger snap, and a rivet. If using the F1 you will need the extension slide
I recommend a 2mm-2.5mm thick veg-tan leather for the F1. If using a different machine you may need to adjust your settings.
After you have your leather selection, give it a coat of oil using neatsfoot oil. Then apply your color or dye or stain.
Now place in your F1 on your slide extension and let'er rip!
Lets start out by attaching the Sam Brown Stud to the second hole from the straight edge side. Tighten with screw driver or set with stud depending on which version you have. I recommend getting them from Amazon, you can get a good bundle for very cheap. If you are planning to make more than one I highly recommend it.
Take your strap keeper and attach the ends together. I used some fancy staples, but staples from a staple gun will work as well. Use some needle nose pilers to crimp it inwards. If not you could stitch them together as well.
Now slide your 1" trigger snap (which you also get cheaper on Amazon) and run it to the bottom. Bring the back end of the strap up and line up the two rivet holes. Make sure you slide your strap keeper between the rivet and the sam brown. Then set your rivet.
*note your strap keeper should only be in the middle section of the strap. Not both sides.
Now just bring your front strap and run it underneath the strap keeper, and push the sam brown through the front hole.
