I made these sturdy row markers with two layers of 3 mm white opaque acrylic glued together with E6000 glue. I engraved and then painted the word and the picture of what to expect the sprout to look like, followed by a clear coat. Very visible and weather resistant.
I engraved and cut the file with the acrylic backing paper on, and then painted the words and sprout pictures. After the paint dries, I remove the backing paper from front and back. Then I put three lines of E6000 glue down the length of the blank stake. Press two pieces together and let glue dry. Finally, spray front and back with a clear coat spray paint.
