Step1: Insert 2x Circles, Text and Subtract

Insert 2x Circles to make it into ball shape

Insert Text and with spacing you can adjust spaces between letters. Be careful, your letters in name must touching otherwise WELD function will not work and your name will not be cutted in one piece. If you are happy with name you can click on Weld function.

Select (blue marker in image) Text and Inner Circle and Subtract

Insert first Shape and move it on top of inner circle. You can adjust dimension and when you will happy select (blue marker in image) inner Circle and first Shape and Subtract

Insert second Shape and move it on bottom of inner circle. Select (blue marker in image) inner Circle and second Shape and Subtract

Step3: Subtract won't do what I need!

Your Subtract can do and opposite what you want. It's because shapes are on same “layer” or one of shape is in wrong “layer” for subtracting. 

Fix is very easy. Select inner Circle and Arrange as Send to Back. Select Shape and Arrange as Bring to Front. 

NOTE: What is in front it will be Subtracted 

Now your Subtract will work correctly

Step4: Insert Circle and Rectangle to make holder

Insert one Circle and one Rectangle. Rectangle will be used as remover of the bottom part. Select (blue marker in image)  Circle and Rectangle and Subtract

Make copy subtracted shape and paste it. Change dimension to smaller piece and both move near outer Circle

Select all shapes and align horizontally center

Select (blue marker in image) outer Circle on holder and outer Circle and Unite

Your Floristic Ball is done. :-) 

For my 4mm thickness poplar plywood I am using 100%power|4mm/s speed with Air Assist ON
