Step1: Preparation

I bought the acrylic precut for the night light (has a slot, control, battery or usb).  Pull off the clear wrap on one side of the acrylic.  I used black paint (see the picture) and diluted it 1:2 (paint to water) since I used an airbrush.  You can also paint it on.  It takes a few coats to get it even and dark (so you can not see through it),

Once the paint is dry make sure that you have your xtool bed set.  I used metal rods to lift up the acrylic from the bed (easy to scratch material and I wanted to avoid residue from the laser and any material that was against the acrylic.

Peel of the bottom layer an place in the xtool bed.

Step2: Processing the image

Set the autofocus, making sure the laser cross-hair is on the material, press the ruler button.  Next set the processing area using the golf icon.  I make sure not to include the piece that lays on the metal.  Your call.  Move the bunny into the processing area.

Once the processing area is set, use power 23 and speed of 300.  bidirectional, greyscale.

Check the processing area by pressing framing to make sure the image is correctly placed.

Process.

Step3: Cleaning up and enjoying

Place the piece under running water, painted side up.  Remember that acrylic scratches easily.  I use an air blower to dry it.

Place on light base and enjoy!
