Instruction
1
Step1: Cut the Walnut Outline of the Flag

Creat an outline of the flag in walnut or a similar dark wood to enhance the stained glass effect. If you plan to assemble this piece with M3 tape, it will be much easier if you attach the tape to the back of the walnut before cutting.

Step2: Cut the White or Clear Acrylic Background

Cut the background of the flag from clear or translucent white acrylic. I used translucent glitter for a sparkly effect.

Note that guides for the blue and red acrylic pieces will be scored into the background piece for aid with assembly later on.

Do NOT put 3M tape on the back of this piece.

Step3: Cut the Blue and Red Acrylic

Cut out the blue field of stars and the red stripes from their respective acrylics.

If you plan to assemble the piece with M3 tape, it will be much easier if you attach the tape to the back of the acrylic sheets before cutting.

Step4: Assemble the Flag

Using the scored markings on the background (white or clear) acrylic, attach the blue field of stars and read stripes to the background piece using 3M tape or a clear-drying glue with a precision tip nozzle.

Then attach the walnut piece on top.

Place your patriotic masterpiece in a window or hang it from the ceiling so the light will hit it and enjoy!
