Information
A great and unique present (designed and invented by me) for kids and parents. This ist a Story Box with 4 scenes, where you can turn around a display and on one side of the box see one scene after the other. The 4 scenes are:
1. Maria and Joseph on their walk to Bethlehem
2. The birth of Jesus
3. Jesus as child working as carpenter with his father
4. Jesus in the temple
If you have own ideas, you can create your own scenes and display them like this.
Instruction
Step1: Laser cutting the box
Open the project story_box_christmas1 and start your laser. (see the settings above) This is the outer part, wherein you can change the scenes if you want. The big part with the many lines is the curved part which can be bent in the end and then connected with the two round circles (top and bottom piece).
Step2: Laser cutting the inner parts
Open the project story_box_christmas1 and start your laser. (see the settings above) This is the inner part. If you want a different design or different scenes, you can create your own scenes.
Step3: Put the story part together
Put the inner parts shown in the pictures together. If they are to loose, use a drop of glue. Be careful with the detailed parts and put the scenes in the right order together (look at the photos of the finished object)
Step4: Add Top and Bottom
Now ad the two smallest circles at Top and Bottom of the inner display with the scenes. Then put them into the bottom one of the two big circles (the one which has no text on it). After that, add the big part which you can bend around the circle and insert it into the cutouts (marked with red in the picture). Carefully put the circle with text on it on the top of the bent part and insert this into the cutouts again. If needed, add some glue!
At last, put the remaining round circle on top to have a turning knob.
