Wooden Coasters:
1. Prepare the Wood Surface:
• Select smooth, untreated wooden coasters.
• Ensure the surface is clean and free from dust or oils.
Slate Coasters:
1. Prepare the Slate Surface:
• Clean the slate coaster thoroughly to remove any debris or oils.
• Ensure the surface is completely dry before proceeding.
Step2
Wooden Coasters:
2. Design Setup in XCS:
• Import your chosen image into XCS.
• Adjust the image size to fit the coaster dimensions.
• Set the engraving parameters suitable for wood.
Slate Coasters:
2. Design Setup in XCS:
• Import your desired image into XCS.
• Resize and position the image to match the coaster’s dimensions.
• Configure the engraving settings optimized for slate material.
Step3
Wooden Coasters:
3. Engraving Process:
• Place the wooden coaster into the xTool laser engraver.
• Focus the laser appropriately.
• Start the engraving process.
• Once completed, remove the coaster and clean off any residue.
Slate Coasters:
3. Engraving Process:
• Place the slate coaster securely in the xTool laser engraver.
• Set the correct focus for the laser.
• Initiate the engraving operation.
• After engraving, gently clean the coaster to remove any dust or particles.
