The photos show a slightly different design to the one in the instructions, but that's just the decoration, which is variable But I will mention one important point right away after the laser cut of the circle with the numbers at the top, a small circle remains - you need this for the calendar
create a circle
mine is 150x150
then a second circle this one is 50x50
place both on top of each other and select horizontal and vertical alignment and subtract the small circle from the large circle
create 2 more circles with 150x150
Decorate one circle as you like and group everything together
Xcs has many beautiful shapes
create a text field and write all the numbers in it
click on the symbol to form the text line into a circle
Adjust the size of the number circle to the size of your circle
Again, mark the number circle and the circle with the hole and align them vertically and horizontally and group everything together
Make a rectangle the size of one of the numbers
select the circle with the decorative line engraving and send the group all the way to the front
place the circle over the other one
mark the rectangle and the circle with the decoration and drag both together to an empty space - remove the grouping from the circle
select the rectangle and the circle and choose separate at overlap
then you can set the decoration and the text back to surface engraving and group them again
then we create another handle to turn - we align this horizontally again - (not vertically) ungroup and merge the handle with the circle (maybe the numbers are gone - these are behind the circle - it is best to click on the circle and send the level to the back
you can still make the holder for the ball on the empty circle
for this I take the shapes from XCS again
select surface engraving copy the shape and make the copy smaller
place both on top of each other and align them horizontally and vertically
select both and choose separate
turn it 180 degrees
place it on the circle so that it fits and select align horizontally and then merge
then we can cut everything
IMPORTANT: after the laser cut of the circle with the numbers at the top, a small circle remains - you need this for the calendar
you can engrave the symbols or cut them out and stick them on the circle (as on the cover photo)
you can paint anything you like
stick the small circle onto the center of the large circle (the one without the numbers)
when gluing the front circle with the viewing window, it is important that the adhesive is only applied to the small circle
The outer circle must remain movable
Please adjust the laser settings to the wood and your device
I have used my settings according to Xtool 3mm Basewood
