Information

If you like rabbits, this is for you! I started with having a fun frame idea but thought some other options might be nice to share. I have three canvases - one frame (basswood), one cut out (can make wood coaster size - you decide - basswood) and a slate rabbit coaster. Have fun!

Thought it would be fun to have a rabbit ear picture frame.  This morphed into a rabbit frame.

For this project I used basswood (if you change the material please make sure the settings work).

Please the wood on the baseplate.  Set the focal point (select the ruler icon) to focus the laser.  Set the processing area (see the golf icon).

Make sure the pieces fit into the processing area.

Check the framing (bottom right) to make sure that the work will fit the frame.

Process the piece.  Note that I have put instructions into the first canvas (they should be on ignored setting).

Once you finish processing you will need glue.

First flip the frame to the back.  Take the u-shaped piece and apply glue.  Place it so that the bottom of the u is sligthly lower than the cut out for the photo.  let it dry.  Then add the back piece - aligning to the bottom.  This piece is to hold the photo in place.  The engraved cut out from the nose should be used as your phot template so that you can cut the photo so size.  Cut slightly larger so that the phot does not fall out!

Once dry, cut your photo and place in slot.

Enjoy!
