Multi-layered, wooden, hanging sign. “Hey Peeps” with a cool bunny wearing sunglasses. Can be customized by painting in whatever colors you choose, or by remixing and adding your own designs to the back layer!
My settings are just recommendations. I technically used 5.2 mm & 3.17 mm wood. Please be sure to use what settings work best for your materials and your machine. Running a test grid is always a safe bet.
Process your top layer shapes. The purple scored layer is optional. It’s only included to help guide you when aligning your pieces in later steps.
There is also a piece that I included that has the letters scored & an offset. That piece is optional. If you’d like to include that in your design, it’s up to you.
Sand your pieces if needed and make sure they are wiped clean.

Once your shapes have been processed & are clean. You’re ready to paint/stain.
You can get creative with this step! Use whatever colors and methods of applying color are your favorite.
I used a brown wood stain on the background piece. I chose to paint the bunny piece teal/blue, the sunglasses black, and the letters yellow.
Tip: if you’d want your paint colors to appear brighter, apply a white spray paint base coat.
Follow the directions on your chosen paint/stain method & allow to dry completely.
Once your pieces are completely dry, you’re ready to begin assembling.
These are just suggestions for assembling, if you’d prefer to work at a faster or slower pace, that’s your call.
Glue & clamp your sunglasses piece to the bunny piece & your letter pieces to your bunny piece. Once those are dried enough, glue your bunny piece to your background layer piece.
If you chose to use the offset layer for your letters: glue & clamp your letter pieces to the offset layer piece, then once that is dry, glue the offset layer to your bunny piece.
Follow the instructions on your adhesive of choice. Allow to dry completely.
I included the glue I use in the photo, I like it because it’s easy to wipe or sand off excess & it dries clear. I also like using a silicone brush, like the one included in the photo, to get glue onto smaller pieces and cuts without having a lot of excess glue.
Once your layers are completely set & dry…you are ready to hang it up!
I used some twine, but the holes in the background layer are big enough for all kinds of different hanging methods.
Now your ready to great your PEEPS this spring.
