Simple etched glass for festive drinkers.
upload file into XCS and make sure your settings are correct for your machine. get a clear glass of your choice. I buy mine from dollar tree for $1.25. Clean the glass with alcohol to remove oils from your hands.
spray the area on the glass where your design will go. I used a black colored chalkboard spray paint from rust-oleum($6). Let dry.
after the cup is dry add it to your machine using your RA2 pro. make sure to balance it. i use scrap wood to higher one end of the Ra2 to make sure the distance is leveled. (as seen in photo.)
check your distance and set how big you want your logo to be on the cup and check your framing.
process file. I used 60percent power and 100 percent speed with 140 lines. However during testing, i found that the best settings are 40-70 percent power at 100 speed. However after testing more, i have seen to never go over 100 percent speed. the lower the speed the better results.
use lacquer thinner to remove paint from. (if some paint is stuck in the engraving just soak in water until it its removed.
