My first slate coaster with my new S1. I am still learning so I hope you like it. Note: I have no idea why my image is flipped but, oh well.
In this case, the coaster is a 100 mm square. I believe I had a different size in the image but please create accordingly.
At this point, you may need to specify the distance of your starting point with the machine engraving area. Use the little mark to set the distance.
Framing is essential so the S1 shows you the area to be engraved. Not performing this process can give you incomplete engravings or out of focus.
You can use the image on file. I hope you like it.
At this point and, given the fact it was my first coaster, I decided to play with different settings so I could learn more. For the word on the top left I used the lowest power and speed. I increased it for the word on the right. I used the top power and speed for the bitmap image. I must say that I did a second pass on all of them as part of my learning process.
Once you've done the framing, set the settings and are ready for it, just do it. At this point you have nothing to lose.
Wait till the S1 is done getting rid of smell and fumes, open the lid and get your coaster. It's a nice gift for someone that likes guitars and snakes or a horrible one for someone that hates snakes. Lol
