Although the boxes for tissues are more decorative these days, they just do not look that nice. So I made one that had the vibe I was looking for. Enjoy!
Get two sheets of your bass wood (12" x 12" size). I started with the top piece (in canvas named top). Place your wood on the riser. Place the laser x over the wood and do the auto-focus (ruler icon on the upper right). Once done, set the processing area (select the flag icon). Select the shape that best fits your wood. Please change the settings if you are using different wood.
Once the designs are moved to the processing area, check the framing to make sure the pieces are within the area. Then process. The top takes about 18-20 min. to process. Remove.
Place the next piece of wood in the bed. Repeat with autofocus and process area. Check framing and then process (takes about 70 minutes). Remove the pieces.
Now comes the fun part - putting it together. Make sure that you line up the pieces, put an adequate amount of glue onto the sides and hold.
Make sure that the pieces are facing the right way. The top provides the guide. Tape can help keep pieces together (important if the wood is warped)
Let dry!
If you want to paint it a color - go for it!
Once the box is dry, place over a tissue box and enjoy!
