Decorative piece, ideal for indoor or cactus gardens. Designed entirely in wood with a multi-layer style that gives it depth
For this design we chose a solid hexagon as a base. This piece will delimit the work area of the following pieces since all the layers must fit together (see figure #1).
Once you have this piece ready, you will have to duplicate it as many times as necessary to have all the layers of your project and you will customize each layer according to your preference.
You will notice that the pieces identified with the numbers 3 and 5 are identical, they are just a frame that will serve as a separator to give more depth to the design. The numbers with which each piece is identified determine the position in which they will fit together.
You can use an image bank and add them to your design or simply modify the base hexagon with new lines and vectors to give it more style.
In the first image we see how we use the rectangle creation tool and then edit nodes to create the front piece of the design and in images #2 and #3 we see how we take a solid color image and adapt it to the size and shape of the base hexagon.
Parameters may vary depending on the density of your wood. Make sure the pieces come off easily, if not sure apply another pass before removing.
Paint the pieces with the colors of your choice and use glue to join them in the order explained in step 1.
(The wood is 3mm and the project has 6 layers, which means it will be 1.8 centimeters thick, enough surface to stand on without adding a pedestal)
