Information

      Merry Christmas everyone!
I decided to do something very simple to put into Christmas gifts or cards without aving to over complicate things. I think it's a lovely little idea and I have already given one of these to my friends mother. I have only done a red one so far but will be doing a mix of red, green and gold ones.

I chose a really lovely font I got from Creative Fabrica, I just wanted something that really rang Christmas to me.

I typed out Merry Christmas and enter and spaced it so that I could put images either side.

I chose the snowflake shape from one of the baubles in the festival section of the shapes panel in creative space, copied and pasted twice then resized to what I wanted and rotated to suite how I wanted them to look.

I then wanted another image and tried several and then decided on the reindeer as it was the perfect shaping I was looking for.

Step2: Placement & Sizing

I had played around with how I wanted everything placed and how it would look to the eye.

I resized the reindeer and sat it perfectly within the area of the words, the snowflakes were a little bit of a pain to get them how I wanted them to look, once I had everything looking how I wanted I grabbed all of them together and grouped them.

I then went into the framing and had to resize the file several times (I didn't think the file was so big) to fit within the card area.  Once I got it right I then sent it off for processing.

I noticed when it started to engrave it wasn't looking very good.

Always remember to set your module up to suit the material you are using, I made the mistake of forgetting this step until it started engraving and then realised I had forgotten to do this, luckily I stopped the engraving process in time and went on to set up my module to suite the metal card.

I hope you enjoy this quick Christmas idea.

Have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy the season with family and friends.
