My wife wanted a Christmas gift for a friend, and we came up with this version of a door decoration. I created the design in Lightburn but uploaded 3 files, one for Lightburn, one for XCS, and one SVG file.
Do a material test, you will need the settings for your machine to be able to score the wood and cut out the designs. For a D1Pro 10w machine my settings are in the screenshots. Due to the size of the pieces, I could not fit the whole design on one sheet of wood. If you have to use multiple sheets of wood, make sure you disable the layers not being cut.
Once you have your settings done go ahead and cut out each piece. Be careful when separating the words, they might still be attached and might break off.
To save paint and time painting, dry fit all pieces to determine what needs to be painted. We used brown paint and water to thin it out, applied a little at a time and wiped the extra off. You can paint it how ever you like.
Once you are finished painting let it dry completely. Glue and fasten the two back pieces making sure you align them up correctly. Let it dry completely before glueing Jesus, fasten with a few clamps and allow it to dry.
