This project involves creating a miniature lighthouse with dimensions of 64x150mm. The lighthouse is crafted using 3mm basswood plywood, making it a small and charming model.
Take your 3mm basswood sheet and layout the design. If done, check and set the settings, and the kerf offset for the red lines. Begin by cutting out all the elements for your miniature lighthouse. Refer to the design file for guidance on the different line colors:
The roof is scored with rings to ensure easy placement of the other elements.
Note: For easy assembly of the base without headaches, you can use a string/thread. This is optional but recommended for a smoother assembly process.
You can paint the elements if you like before assembling. Once everything is ready, begin with the base. Carefully assemble the parts as shown in the images. The Base-Top-Raiser (the ring) you need to glue on top.
Now it’s time to assemble the top of the lighthouse. Assemble the parts as shown in the images. When done assembling the top, take the base and glue the top onto it.
Now, in the last step, assemble the roof and attach the flag to it. Once done, take the roof and glue it onto the top of the lighthouse. See the images for reference.
Enjoy the litte lighthouse.
