Perfectly square up material to the laser head. This jig needs to be used only when the machine is off and the arm is free to move forward and back. The jig fits over the arm and just clears the slats or the honeycomb.
After cutting the pieces, dry fit everything together. I used wood glue and clamped the two 1-½" pieces to the 3 notched ‘L’ shaped pieces. To make sure the jig was square, I clamped a small triangle to insure the 90 dg angle, while the pieces dried. After, I removed the clamps and glued the 1" pieces and finally the two ‘L’ shaped pieces, re-clamped everything till dry.
