Love doing silhouettes and when Pinterest sent me some pictures of Sarah Trumbauer's Intricate Papercut Illustrations I had to try them out on wood with my laser cutter. Sarah's illustrations are wonderful on paper, but too fragile for wood so I had to modify them to create supporting joins and thicken many of the lines. Even then you have to be careful when weeding the cut pieces, but I think the result is excellent. I hope you enjoy giving this a go.
You need to make the template at least 300mm tall, the larger the better as there are many small cuts to be weeded out and making it smaller might make them too fragile. The P2 is limited to 300 mm tall, but my D2 can do 350mm which is even better. If your laser has a very fine laser beam then you may be able to go smaller.
I would use masking tape to cover the board to get a clean result, but if you use the black MDF (melamine) you can simply wipe it down with a damp cloth.
Simply Attach to a window or glass door using 2-sided tape, a little piece in each corner will do. Enjoy
