The classic Levantine architecture style includes thick stone walls, very high ceilings and the triple arched window, often with a balcony. A perfect adaptation to living by the sweltering Mediterranean before a/c was invented, with natural cooling provided by the shape. This little one can be made into a tiny lamp if you glue tissue paper inside the windows and put a little LED inside. Scale it much bigger using 1/4in plywood, and it makes a starting point for a great dollhouse.
This project assembles exactly like any laser-cut box does. Put together the balcony first, along with the knee braces that support the balcony. Unless you are planning to paint it, be very sparing with the glue, using a toothpick to apply it, and you won't have to do much cleanup.
To add tissue paper to shade the window cutouts, leave the back off until the final assembly. Cut out and fit little rectangles of a translucent tissue or plastic to fit inside the whole of each side, and tack them in place with little dabs of white glue or a gluestick. Use a scrap of cardboard to gently smooth down and flatten them in place so there are no gaps or wrinkles, and let dry.
Even a tiny LED light is more than enough to let the glow show though the windows.
