If you have some scrap of plywood, this is the perfect project for you. Make a few of these - you can play with colors.
Use my settings (I made it for my M1 10W machine, 3mm pine plywood with riser base), and cut out the design. Do not make it much bigger, if you want to make it as stud earrings.
Use any kind of paint to decorate these snails. I used acrylic markers from POSCA, and made 2 type of designs. You can use my color combinations, or go for your own.
Let them dry before the next step.
Add a thin layer of varnish or lacque to the design. You can add it to the edges too now.
Wait until it dries completely.
Use a strong, transparent glue, and add the earring studs to the back of your snails. A small dot will be enough.
Again - wait until it dries, before you move on to the next step.
Add a layer of varnish to the back of the earrings, to secure the stud settings to the back.
Once it dried, you can add the back of the earring settings, and your design is ready.
