Step1: Prepare

Step 1: Prepare the Design File

1. Download and open the provided SVG or XCS file in XCS Software.

2. Ensure the design is scaled correctly to fit your material.

3. Choose your material type in XCS Settings for accurate power and speed settings.

Step2: Secure material for cutting

1. Place your material (wood or acrylic) on the XTool workbed.

2. If cutting acrylic, remove the protective film from one side only to prevent charring.

3. Use painters tape if needed to secure lightweight materials.

Step3: Proscess material

Step 3: Start the Laser Cutting & Engraving Process

1. Focus the laser using auto-focus or manual adjustment.

2. Perform a test cut on scrap material to ensure correct settings.

3. Run the engraving process first (for details like the leprechaun’s face and shamrocks).

4. Run the cutting process second to avoid material shifting.

Step 4: Post-Processing & Assembly

1. Carefully remove the cut and engraved pieces f rom the laser bed.

2. For wood:

• Sand edges if needed.

• Apply a light coat of clear sealant for protection.

3. For acrylic:

• Peel off the remaining protective film.

• Use a microfiber cloth to remove any residue.

4. Attach a photo or keychain hardware as desired:

• Use glue to attach a backing for a photo frame version.

• Use a keyring for a bag tag version.
