Class holiday gifts- magnets for each student to display artwork sent home on the fridge. Simple project using included shapes and downloaded text.
Instruction
Step1: Add Rounded Square to canvas and resize
Add rounded square shape from XCS shapes menu and resize to a rectangle.
For this project I sized to 1.5inches height and 2.5inches width
Step2: Add Text or PNG of image
Text used for this are Doctor Soos Bold and KG Penmanship Lined
Both can be downloaded as OTF or TTF fonts using DaFont and used in the design program.
I am using a iPad so I made the text in Canva and saved as a PNG, allowing me to quickly edit the names for the class.
Step3: Add optional backer Ring for magnet
Add a circle to the canvas from the XCS shapes menu and duplicate
Size one to 1.25 inches and the other to.77inches(slightly larger than the .75 magnet).
Center on top of each, select both and minus front.
Step4: Set settings and send to laser
Selet engrave for text and cut for exterior or manet and circle ring. Send to laser.
Glue circle on the back with magnet in the center.
