I am not really an expert in celebrating thanksgiving as we don't do this here in Germany. But recently I have read an article that someone created a vegan wishbone which is now sold in some supermarkets. So why not do something like this with the M1. Besides the wishbone you might need a giftcard to present it. So I also designed a paper turkey.
I created everything in Adobe Illustrator and exported it to dxf. Then I imported it into xcs. I started with the giftcard, which is a multi-layer paper card. I have cutted this with the blade cutting function (120g, 40mm/s) layer by layer. For paper you should use the blue cutting mat. You will find the xcs-file for each layer attached to this howto. The I clued all parts of the bird together. This picture shows the order:
The only remaining part is later used to attach the wishbone to the bird.
Next step is to cut the wishbone. I used 4mm poplar plywood for this. Results will be best, if you used honeycomb and air assist. If you do not have those, you could mask the wood with some masking tape first to get clean cuts. Afterwards fold the remaining paper part around the wishbone, add some glue (only on the paper) and stick it on the turkey.
Enjoy celebrating thanksgiving with this vegan wishbone!
