Little D is here in all his Irish Glory. And look what he has for you, a 4 leaf clover. Is that not lucky? And whoa! He also brought out his Pot o' Plans too. Lucky you. Included with this file is the colored version and the outlined version for you to engrave and colorize yourself. A fun little project for both kids and adults! Let Little D give you some luck today!
I love the character of Little D and have worked up several of him so far. I drew this and no AI was used in the creation of this image. I added a hat this time and even changed his boots so that he looks more in tune with those little rascals, the Leprechauns, who he is trying to imitate by bringing along his pot o' plans. The difference is, you don't have to catch him to get them!
That being said, I have included both the colored and uncolored version of him. In addition, I have provided the settings to engrave as shown in the image above.
When I engraved this version of Little D, I went just a touch heavy and so lost some details in the plans. You may want to, if using the same 1/8" (3mm) wood, bring down the power a touch when using the P2.
Little D can be made on any machine and on any material. You will have to adjust te settings to suit your machine and material though as the settings here are for the P2 on 1/8" Birch.
I normally use acrylic markers but the ones I have are dried up and so I will have to get more. That being said, I used regular Acrylic paint for this project. As you can see, I am not a painter, lol. But the effect still came across decently I think.
If painting, make sure to use a fine tipped brush for those tiny spots - and there are a few of those in this one.
Let me know in the comments what you think of Lucky Little D and how you use him in your projects. I would love to see!
Furthermore, with the new DTF, I would love to see some articles of clothing with Little D on it! So if you make that, please show off in the comments!
