Make your own adorable cupcake stud earrings with this easy tutorial! This cute mismatched pair features one pink and one blue base with fluffy white frosting—perfect for adding a sweet touch to your style.
Score and cut the design. The size should be fine for a stud earring set, but feel free to adjust it, if you want to.
If your laser-cut pieces have rough edges, lightly sand them for a smooth painting surface. This will help the paint go on evenly.
Let the paint dry before moving on.
Use white paint to create the swirly frosting on top. Apply 1-2 coats for full coverage, if needed, Once dry, you can lightly shade the bottom edges of the frosting with a tiny bit of light brown to add depth.
Cherry on top? Use a small dot of red paint to add a cherry to one or both cupcakes.
Sprinkles? Use a fine brush or toothpick to dot tiny red, pink, or blue sprinkles on the frosting.
Once the paint is fully dry, apply a clear acrylic sealer to protect your earrings. A glossy finish will make them look extra sweet, while matte keeps them subtle.
I am sealing the top and the edges only now.
Apply a small dot of E6000 glue to the back of each cupcake. Press the earring post into the glue and hold for a few seconds and let it cure for some seconds.
Add an extra coat of sealing to the back side too, to make it shine and extra secure.
Your adorable pink & blue cupcake earrings are ready to wear! These make the perfect handmade gift or a fun addition to your jewelry collection.
