Nestled in the corner of a cozy room, a beautiful wooden box captures the eye with its intricate carvings of hearts and tender words of love. Open it slowly, and inside, you’ll find precious keepsakes—letters, trinkets, and tokens of affection—that whisper tales of joy and longing. This enchanting box is not just a container; it’s a celebration of love in all its forms, waiting to be discovered.
Use 3mm basswood plywood
Instruction
Step1: You will need and Part list
You will need
1. 3mm Basswood Plywood Or any other 3mm MDF of your choice
2. Optional acrylic paint marker (I use POSCA brand 15mm) or any acrylic paint in the color of your choice.
Optional Varnish to protect Basswood Plywood
3. Glue (I use Tacky brand, I think it's one of the best for gluing wood, cardboard, etc.)
4. Acetate Sheet
5. Double sided adhesive tape
6. Scissors and a ruler.
7. A pencil or pen to mark.

1. One front panel with Con Cariño Spanish word
2. Two side panels
3. One back panel
4. One top cover with birds and hearts
5. One bottom plate
Step2: Cut out
1. Prepare the Laser Cutter:
Load the 3mm Basswood Plywood into your laser cutter.
Open the design file in Creative Space Software and ensure the layout fits within the material boundaries.
Don't forget to put the Triangular Prism.
2. Set Cutting Parameters:
Adjust the laser focus height and define the cutting boundaries according to your material and machine specifications.
Double-check settings to ensure clean cuts.
Don't forget: The lines orange cut and the lines black engravings.
3. Run the File:
Begin the cutting process.
Monitor the process to ensure accuracy.
Step3: Glue the acetate
1.- First, take the front panel that has the word "con carino" on it and stick a piece of acetate with Double sided adhesive tape on the part that will go inside the box. Put the adhesive tape on the wood.
The measurements you need to cut are 7cm x 19.5. Make sure you cut the acetate to that measurement and that it fits perfectly on the front panel.
2. Do exactly the same with the top cover with birds and hearts. Cut another piece of acetate with the measurements 15cm x 19cm. Make sure you cut the acetate to that measurement and that it fits perfectly. Put the double sided adhesive tape on the part that will go inside the box. Put the adhesive tape on the wood.
NOTE: When you stick the acetate make sure it is well stretched and that it does not get wrinkled or twisted etc...
Step4: Glue the pieces
Now it's time to join and glue the pieces that will form the box.
1. Take the bottom plate and glue the 4 side panels onto it. Be careful and make sure that the front panel with "Con Cariño" word is in its correct position.
2. Finally, fit the top cover "with birds and hearts" and make sure that it can be opened and closed easily..
3. Let it dry well and make sure everything is straight.
Step5: Decoration and Paint (Optional)
If you want, you can paint the box with acrylic paint, glue some hearts or varnish the box to protect it from dust.
Step6: Ready
Ready! Now the box is ready to be placed in your favorite place, giving it an elegant and loving touch.
