Instruction

Step1

Materials Needed:

✔ 6mm plywood (Mahogany & Walnut recommended)
✔ xTool Laser Cutter (or compatible machine)
✔ Wood glue (for assembly)
✔ Wood finish (optional for darker walnut)

Step2

Prepare Your First Material (Mahogany)

  1. Open a new project in xTool and select 6mm Mahogany as your material.
  2. Download the file and separate the layers:
    • Keep the line art flower and engraving part
    • Delete the outline (we’ll cut this later with walnut).

Step3

Mark your work area and use auto-focus for precision.

 Engraving & Cutting Settings for Mahogany

  1. Apply these settings:
    • Engraving: Power 60, Speed 130
    • Cutting: Power 75, Speed 4

Step4

Hit “Process” and Start!

  • The engraving and cutting process takes about 12 minutes.

✅ Now your Mahogany piece is ready! Let’s move to the walnut outline

Step5

Prepare Your Second Material (Walnut)

  - Open a new document and select 6mm Walnut as your material.

  • Check your process area and focus settings to match the Mahogany piece.
  1. Import the design and separate the layers again:
    • Keep only the outline
    • Delete the line art and engraving part
    • ⚠ Make sure the size stays the same so the pieces fit perfectly!

Step6

  1. Apply the cutting settings:
    • Power 75, Speed 4 (Note: Some walnut types may require Power 80-85 for a cleaner cut).
  1. Hit “Process” and Start!

✅ Now you have both pieces ready!

Step7

Finishing & Assembly 

 (Optional) Apply a wood finish to the walnut outline for a richer tone.

  • Use wood glue to carefully attach the Mahogany engraving piece to the Walnut outline-Let it dry, and your laser-cut Valentine’s gift is complete! 🎁
