Step1: Part list

Parts list:

  1. One Baseplate 
  2. One Rabbit
  3. One Deer
  4. Two Grasses
  5. One Tree

You need:

  1. 4mm Plywood
  2. Acrylic colors

Step2: Paint the Tree
Preview

Paint a plywood board in bright colors, the size of the tree (approximately 20cm x 20cm in area)/ (7,87 x 7,87 Zoll) and wait until everything is dry well. 

Try to apply the colors thin on the plywood to avoid a thick coating of acryl color.

Step3: Tree: Remove the paint with the laser and cut it out

1. Prepare the Laser Cutter:

  • Load the 4mm Plywood into your laser cutter.
  • Open the design file in Creative Space Software and ensure the layout fits within the material boundaries.
  • Secure the plywood to the laser bed to prevent movement during cutting.
  • Swap the tray to the honeycomb tray or add raiser under the 4mm Plywood
  • (Optional) Use some tape to hold down the board if needed. 
  • Enable the output 

2. Set Cutting Parameters:

  • Adjust the laser focus height and define the cutting boundaries according to your material and machine specifications.
  • Double-check settings to ensure clean cuts.

3. Run the File:

  • Start the process of removing the paint 
  • Then cut it out

Step4: Cut out the other parts

Step5: Paint (Optional)

If you want, you can paint the base plate with green acrylic paint as shown in the picture. A bit rough and uneven, but this gives a good impression of grass.

You can achieve this by first painting everything with a sponge or brush, and then dabbing and brushing in a crisscross pattern.

 

I recommend using water-based acrylic paints.

Preview

Next, take the pieces as shown in the picture and glue the parts into their place.
